![]() This is all based of the experience of having lvled multiple infiltrators and blademasters, and unless you are not building pierce, or maybe building a very weird pierce NB, then 2x slicers should absolutely feel like a solid choice over other weapons for any half decent melee pierce build wanting to once shot mobs or slice a boss up ![]() If however you go go full dw melee wps/"% weapon dmg", and have 2x slicers+blade of nadaan with some modest pierce RR you will absolutely feel the difference as you will slice through anything in a matter of seconds Trying to keep it in one place so i don't get confused heh.Īnyways dermapteran slicers "only" work in a pierce build, that means you have blades of nadaan constellation to increase amor piercing to 100%, (because then all physical dmg bonus or skill will be converted to piercing, ex Cadence), without that/with a build more oriented towards cold or acid, ex ABB, or no pierce wps then dermapteran slicer will not feel all that "impressive" to you Probably be 10 or so more levels before I get a good feel for it. Right now I am not all that impressed with the piercing damage, but on the other hand I don't have Quick Cut or Whirling Death yet, both of which skills are augmented by the slicers. I'm going to compare the two as the character gains levels. So, I basically have two sets of gear: One geared toward to cold/acid damage, the other to piercing. I grabbed a couple of Demopteran Slicers, outfitted them with vicious spike components to give the empowered impaling weapon perk. Originally posted by Re our discussion in the other thread about Nightblades. The other two swords are not bad, and spectral is easy to farm too, but for a pierce build, none beat derma slicer for lvling.Īnd spectral for cold or shadowstrike build mainly, but will do for pierce in a pinch (tho there is no reason to keep it as derma slicers are as mentioned easy to farm if going for a pierce wps build) ![]() Then before affixes it sports some very nifty and fitting +skills and pierce stats (just upgraded even more in patch 1.1.7.0) which means you don't even have to "hope" for a perfect rolled "nightblade" slicer, it comes good "as is" which means mean if you do get nice or better rolls it becomes even better on top, ex superior/puncturing slicer of alacricity (fairly common) or heart piercing(rare) of piercing darkness/of ruthlessness (rare), you now have a monster of a weapon you can use for a good whileĪnd lastly, it's super easy to farm, which means you can basically grab one whenever, and keep replacing it during lvl intervals when you feel you need it A list of MIs used and the items they create is shown below.Because if you are going for a piercing build, which is often the case with a melee dw Nightblade-Infiltrator/Blademaster, there is nothing betterįirst of it sports a whopping 50% armor piercing, which means already from lvl xx you can now do 100% piercing dmg with Blades of Nadaan, which is nice for a pierce build eh? They can thus be worth stashing, even if they have unfavorable affixes or are otherwise of no use to a character. Some monster infrequents are used in blueprints for crafting other items.
